Hopkinton, MA. - April 3, 2014 – Solect Energy Development, LLC, a leading commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) developer and installer based in Massachusetts, today introduced its new company brand including a new logo, tagline and website. The rebranding better reflects and communicates the company’s services, industry focus, and core values.

“When the company was founded in 2009, we were still trying to find our niche in the clean energy space in New England,” comments Ken Driscoll, Co-founder and CEO of Solect. “As we did this, it became clear that there was great opportunity in the commercial solar market, which was relatively underserved at the time, especially in Massachusetts. We began to focus on the commercial and light industrial solar market, and for the last 4 years have stayed laser-focused in that space, becoming one the leading commercial solar developers and installers in the state.”

Solect’s new branding not only represents the refined focus of the company’s market and services, but also reflects its core values of integrity, quality, and commitment to its customers. “Our tagline, ‘Smart Solar. Smart Business.’ is a nod to our expertise in the commercial solar market, but also to our overall philosophy of ‘People, Planet, Profit’,” comments Driscoll. “We believe that good business goes beyond profit. Good business – smart business – means focusing on the triple bottom line – people, planet, profit. This philosophy, as well as our practical and collaborative approach, keeps the best interests of our customers and community in mind and is our guiding principle.”

The new logo and tagline were designed to reflect this philosophy as well as match the energy of this growing and innovative company. The sun graphic in the logo, which includes more vibrant hues of the company’s original colors of green and yellow, most literally represents the sun, and the rays of the sun (which are pictured to be moving in a cycle) represent the transition of turning the sun (yellow) into a financial and environmental investment for its customers (green). The cyclical fashion of the sun graphic in the logo also represents the renewable element of solar energy.

Solect’s new website is designed to be more user friendly to help better serve Solect’s customers; as a resource for businesses and organizations to learn about the financial and economic benefits of solar energy; and as a tool to showcase and promote Solect’s customer’s own green initiatives and commitment to solar.
